I wasn’t aware that this one hadn’t yet hit DVD, but it turns out that the 1992 Sinatra mini-series will finally be released in this format. The due date will be May 13th. I haven’t seen this one in quite a long time, but I recall it as an enjoyable, not-so-bad depiction of Sinatra’s life.

Sands Hotel to Be Imploded

It seems ironic and, in some ways, fitting that on the day the last surviving member of the Rat Pack dies that Atlantic City’s famed Sands Hotel and Casino will be demolished. Last of The Rat Pack: Joey Bishop Dead at 89

This Associated Press is reporting today that Joey Bishop, long-time member of the Rat Pack and its last surviving member, is dead at age 89. Lots more will be written regarding his passing and there’s nothing more for me to say except: “Rest in peace, Joey.”
