An Interview With Sid Mark
Long-time Sinatra fans are no doubt familiar with Philadelphia DJ Sid Mark, who for 50 years has hosted the popular radio program, The Sounds of Sinatra.
All About Jazz published an extensive interview with Sid. The article talks about the history of the program, includes photos and anecdotes about Sinatra and generally makes for fascinating reading.

Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis and Frank Sinatra – Free Download
Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis’ radio program is not nearly as well known as their movies and this is probably a shame because they can be just as hysterical in either medium.

Free Frank Sinatra Radio Show Downloads
A few months ago I wrote about The Rocky Fortune Show, Frank Sinatra’s short-lived radio series. As it turns out, the complete series is in the public domain and can be freely downloaded for listening on your computer or iPod. You can download individual episodes of the shows here. If you prefer, you can get the entire batch all once here.
Enjoy!
Frank Sinatra as Rocky Fortune
Few people remember that during Sinatra’s ‘down’ period in the early 1950s he took a role as starring actor in a radio drama called Rocky Fortune.
In this role, Sinatra played a ‘footloose and fancy free young man’, frequently unemployed, who took on a variety of adventurous occupations. The show lasted for 25 episodes before being canceled.
Given that Sinatra never again performed in a non-musical radio series, Rocky Fortune is an interesting footnote in… Read the rest
