Has anyone ever heard the unused theme song sung by Frank for the 1959 Columbia Pictures film, They Came To Cordura, starring Gary Cooper and Rita Hayworth. I recently came across this song on You Tube, played off an old 45 single record by some collector. I have posted this recording on our own literary website, http://www.glendonswarthout.com, under Films, and then under They Came To Cordura. Scroll down that page and you’ll find it. The lyrics aren’t that good since they had a difficult title to work with, but Frank has a full orchestra behind him. Doubt he was very happy when they didn’t use this theme song for this big 1959 Christmas movie. A musical rarity from the vast Sinatra canon for sure.
