- NBC Universal Sues for Dean Martin Show DVD Rights
This last link is the most intriguing. Generally, companies the size of NBC Universal don’t initiate lawsuits unless money (or the promise of money) is on the line. In this case, the lawsuit perhaps bodes well for fans as it could mean the wider release of The Dean Martin Show on DVD, or so it would seem. Time will tell.

Greetings from a fan of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Regarding the lawsuit by NBC Universal, I personally favor the suit as a means to make the whole affair strictly legal, and I hope that the courts will speed quickly to a fair judgment and find IN FAVOR of the worldwide consumer public. Frank appeared on many of the Dean Martin shows, including the very first in September 1965.
Please look at www.groups.yahoo.com/group/GoldsandDings, and also our Golddiggers Super Site at www.thegolddiggers.wordpress.com for the story which we were the first to break. Our grand mission is to get the Dean Martin Show/Comedy Hour and all of the Golddiggers’ TV series out to the public on the DVD format.
Sincere thanks from Ralph, ‘draaiorgelfan’ of the GoldsandDings!
