A copy of Frank Sinatra’s very first record, the famous Brunswick 8443, has turned up for auction on Ebay. I’ve previously written about this precious item and its scarcity. Surprisingly, one was recently auctioned on Ebay and it sold for well over $1,000, a relatively low price for such a rare item. Look for this new auction to fetch a similar price tag. As of this writing, the bidding has not yet commenced as the opening bid is $750, but that will quicly change as the clock ticks away towards the end of the auction.

Hello!
I am no Sinatra collectible specialist, but I´d like to know about a record I recently found here in Hamburg. It is Frank Sinatra´s “From the bottom of my heart” b/w “Here comes the night”, pressed on 78 in Great Britain. The record was relabeled “Regal” with a sticker, but it seems to be a black blue Columbia pressing (DB2150). Does anyone know something about this 78? Maybe it´s just a common item, but I´d like to know anyway…

This is nothing more than the regular Columbia issue 78. The sticker is probably the local importer or distributor. Nothing unusual about this one as far as I know.
