On the surface this might seem like just another repackaging of Sinatra tunes from the Capitol era. But look a little closer and the astute fan will notice two interesting inclusions. The first of these is the hard-to-find “If You Are But A Dream”, which was previously only  available on expensive import CDs. The second, and some might say more important, is the inclusion of an alternate take of Nice ‘n’ Easy.

To my knowledge this is the very first time that an alternate takes of Capitol material has surfaced on an authorized release, though a great deal of material is known to be ‘in the vaults.’ I certainly hope this is a trend in the future, but I fear we’ll all have to buy copies of things we already have to get the things we don’t.
