New Duet: Frank Sinatra and Britney Spears

Just kidding.

But with the abuse of technology that goes on in the music industry today you have to admit that there remains the possibility that such a thing could occur, no matter how tasteless it might seem. I say this because the ongoing phenomenon of creating ‘duets’ between a popular living star and a once popular, albeit now deceased one, shows no sign of abating. It has happened to Sinatra on more than one occasion and now Dean Martin has been targeted with a new duet with Martina McBride on Christmas with Dino.

As you might imagine, I’m not a fan of this practice. What do some of you think?

another money making sceam. what people will do for it. unfortunately instead of the buying such a cd some will and thus the bull…. continues. i recently read one of my many books about sinatra and discovered that he had alot of songs that were never released. for instance the song, you and me all the way home, this is a great song why doesn’t the sinatra family or someone come up with the idea of making a cd of franks previously unreleased songs. this will be a huge seller and make me as a fan very happy, sincerly, jack

I’m posting this message/contacting you because my Dad worked in security at the Fairmont Hotel (formerly the Roosevelt Hotel) in New Orleans. Anyway, Frank Sinatra would stay at that hotel when in New Orleans and also performed at the Fairmont. He gave my Dad a lighter, engraved with his signature that I’m interested in selling. Please contact me, Dr. B-J (Bennett_Johnson@hotmail.com)

Brittany Spears and Classy Sinatra. I think not. She can’t victimize his fans to camoflage her sleeziness. Yuk! Just the thought makes me sick to my stomach.

As for Celine Dion –seems like all these losers try to connect to perfection to redeem their short-comings.

Sinactra, when alive, selected whom he respected as performers, Ella, Sarah, Doris, Nancy, Judy and Liza. Try to hold a candle to that line-up.
