Sinatrabilia - Columbia 45RPM EPs

Christmas Songs By Sinatra EP

In the realm of Columbia Extended Play (EP) records, many of the earliest issues are the rarest. Like most other categories of Sinatra recordings, there are few few ultra-rarities, but certainly many collectible titles, such as Christmas Songs By Sinatra. (The image above is from the LP, but the EP cover is nearly identical). This title alone in good condition can bring $50-$75 for either the EP or LP.
Frank Sinatra Young At Heart EP

Another interesting title is this, Young at Heart. This is an example of the 45RPM EP version, but like Christmas Songs By Sinatra, it is also available in 10″ LP format and the pricing for this item is quite similar.

Sinatra Sings Irving Berlin

Finally, this interesting title: Sinatra Sings Irving Berlin, a fairly early Columbia EP, which you don’t often see. The artwork is characteristic of the era - sparse , but somehow the charm of these never seems to wear off on me. You might find this particular EP for $20-$40.

In general, most Columbia EP titles will set you back no more than $5 to $20 each. If you’re fortunate, you might find some sold in lots, in which case you’ll likely get a better deal than if you were to buy each piece individually. If you do happen to see a lot and are interested, I’d suggest purchasing them - you’ll get the better deal and save yourself a bunch of time tracking down the individual pieces.
