
If you’re looking for a change of pace, spend a few minutes downloading Lux Radio Theatre’s Miracle of The Bells, starring Fred MacMurray and Frank Sinatra from 1948. This is courtesy of The Internet Archive, one of my favorite sites for public domain media. This radio show has Sinatra playing the very same role he played in the film by the same name. It seems incomprehensible now, but Sinatra actually plays a priest in this drama.
Yes, you heard that right: Sinatra plays a priest. Only in Hollywood, folks.



When I was an altar boy back in the day when the mass was in Latin, the Priest who performed the Mass took a shot of Jack Daniels with his coffee before the service.
He would later leave the church with a nun and they got married. Quite the scandal at the time.
A half block from the church was Atlanta’s only strip club.
Father Sinatra? As a Priest? Not that far fetched! (:
