Today’s Press of Atlantic City has an article about the closing of The Sands Hotel and Casino in NJ. It seems that one by one all the reminders of Sinatra, no matter how small, are passing into history. The Sands was the home of Sinatra’s final public gigs in the US in 1994.

It is a pity that The Sands will be closing down - no matter what no one can ever forget the Great Frank Sinitra. the one and only known as the VOICE
THE SNAP AND CRISP CLASS THAT WAS THE SANDS IS GONE, AND CAN NEVER BE REPLACED BY A BIG MONEY CASINO THAT LACKS THE ONE ON ONE SETING YOU GOT WHEN YOU PULLED UP THE STOOL TO YOUR FAVORITE BLACK JACK TABLE WITH A COCKTAIL AND THAT EVERYDAY JOE DEALER. BRUSHING UP AGAINST AND OLD SCHOOL CLASSIE DAME FROME YESTERYEAR AND THE CHANCE TO THROW DOWN A COUPLE OF BEANS AND MAYBE SCORE BIG, OR MAYBE NOT ,IT WAS JUST THE PLACE TO BE AND LIKE SINATRA SAID “THE SANDS WHERE ELSE?”
