Sinatra’s very first Reprise LP, Ring-a-Ding-Ding was quite a successful release. It was available on LP, which is what most people purchased, but also in reel-to-reel tape format, which is shown above.

What makes this item so unusual is the unusual cover artwork, which was only released on the very first production run of this tape and never on the LP. Subsequent releases used the same artwork as the original LP.

Given that reel-to-reel tapes production runs were but a small fraction of what was produced for the LP market, this item is a very tough find indeed. In my opinion, due to the rarity of reel-to-reel tapes in general, this item is probably underpriced at the $200 - $300 it normally sells for. If you should see one, grab it.
