I was only 11 when the Ratpack was filming Oceans 11 but my Aunt was a huge Sinatra fan.

We use to go over her house every time Mr. Sinatra had a TV special on because she had a large color TV and all of his Lp's as soon as they came out. At that time she was the only one who had seen him in person a few years after that TV incident.

I always remember how she kept me up to date on Mr. Sinatra activities and his coming and going in shoe bix and charity work.

After I got out of the service, I got into the retail record business in LA and made it to VP of Sales and Distribution and I happened to be in Las Vegas with Bob Garmesia a friend of Mr Sinatra, He got us nice seats at Ceasasrs and both being Italian it was like meeting the POPE and we both felt thrilled.

I felt thrilled for weeks and he sent my Aunt and my mother pictures which they had up until they both tresured until they died.

Thank you for a memory that I will have for rest of my live and I know my mother and aunt had for theres.

[...] The packaging of this set is superb. It comes in a keepsake box, with a thick book of liner notes, remembrances, photos, and samples of memorabilia from the engagements. A nice touch are two mini poster-sized reproductions of flyers from Sinatra’s Sands Hotel shows, each of which are suitable for framing. (I’ve previously posted about these. Here and here. Sinatra in Las Vegas has become a legend and now, with thanks to this set, you can actually hear what all the fuss was about. This is easily the most significant Sinatra release since 1995’s Complete Reprise Recordings and fans new and old alike are going to find something to crow about. [...]
